Grameenphone adds new smartphones to its 4G ecosystem

Grameenphone, the number one mobile operator in the country, has added two new co-branded smartphones to its 4G ecosystem. The two smartphone, Symphony G100, and Micromax B5 Pro were introduced in an event today at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in the capital of Bangladesh.

Aminul Hassan, Commissioner of Bangladesh Telecom Regulatory Commission was present at the event the event as the Chief Guest. Grameenphone’s Deputy CEO and CMO, Yasir Azman along with CCAO Mahmud Hossain, Md. Maksudur Rahman, Senior Director, Symphony and Sameer Kakar, VP & International Business Head, Micromax were also present in the program.

The BTRC commissioner thanked Grameenphone and its partners for introducing affordable 4G devices as it is very important for the adaptation of 4G by general people.

We have taken a step further today to further strengthen our 4G ecosystem by adding these two 4G smartphones.’ Coupled with our fastest network and unbeatable service quality these devices will help the customers to enjoy the full benefit of the digital world,” stated Yasir Azman, Deputy CEO and CMO of Grameenphone.

Symphony G100 is equipped with 18.9 full vision display and a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM, 2500 mAH battery, Android 8.1 Go Edition OS and 5-megapixel cameras (front and rear). This 4G enabled smartphone, priced at BDT 5,999, is perfect for users who are always on the go.

On the other hand, Micromax B5 Pro with a massive 5000 mAH battery promises heavy-duty performance. The smartphone is loaded with intelligent Face unlock, a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, Android 8.1 Oreo and effective cameras (5-megapixel front and 13-megapixel rear). Micromax B5 Pro is priced at BDT 9,999.
Both the phones will come with hi speed 4GB free internet (valid for 7 days) upon successful tagging. Purchasing of 50 (GP-GP) minutes talk time at the price of BDT 29, customers will also be able to enjoy 2 GB free internet. The purchase offer can be availed maximum of 12 times in 6 months and the validity period for data and voice will be 7 days. The phones will be available at all Grameenphone Sales Channels across the country.
