5 Bangladeshi films to be screened at SAARC film festival

A total of five Bangladeshi films will be screened at the 8th SAARC Film Festival beginning on May 22 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Of these, three films are full-length features and two are short films, according to the film festival’s website.

The full-length films are ‘Haldaa’ directed by Tauquir Ahmed, ‘Khacha’ by Akram Khan and ‘Akhi O Tar Bondhura’ by Morshedul Islam while the two short films are ‘Kalo Megher Bhelay’ and ‘Daag’.


A total of 55 films in three different categories will be shown at the festival.
