Govt employee held over derogatory Facebook post on PM Sheikh Hasina

Police will take further action against the detained after investigation.

Police detained a government employee from Akhura upazila on Thursday for making a derogatory remark about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on his Facebook account, reports Dhaka Tribune. 

Md Mobarok Karim, a field assistant of Akhaura upazila veterinary hospital, wrote on a Facebook post that the prime minister “is more dangerous than a snake.”

Officer-in-Charge of Akhaura police station, Md Mosharraf Hossain, confirmed the matter.

Being informed about his comment, locals caught him from the hospital and handed him over to police in the afternoon.

Police will take further action against him after investigation, the OC added.
