Tarana Halim for enhancing standard of BTV

Newly appointed Bangladeshi State Minister for Information Tarana Halim today called upon all officials, artists and employees to work together to enhance the standard of the state-run Bangladesh Television (BTV).

She came up with the remarks at a meeting with high officials of BTV at her office at the Secretariat here, said a press release.

The state minister said the incumbent government has been playing an outstanding role for the welfare of the country and its people.

Alongside broadcasting entertainment programmes, Tarana urged the BTV to highlight the development activities of the government to make people aware about it.

She laid emphasis on digitization of BTV for improving its service quality.

Information Secretary Md Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Bangladesh Television Director General SM Harun-or-Rashid, Deputy Director General (News) Mohammed Nasir Uddin, Deputy Director General (Programme) Sarat Kumar Sarker, Chief Engineer Md Soleman Haque, General Manager Masudul Haque and Chief News Editor Dr Syeda Tasmina Ahmed, among others, were present on the occasion.
