Over 20 people killed and many injured in Tongi factory boiler explosion

At least 21 people killed when a boiler exploded in a factory named “Tampaco Foils” at the BSCIC industrial zone in Gazipur’s Tongi area. More Than 50 people were injured in the explosion.

The fire erupted after a boiler of Tempako Packaging Factory blasted between 5.45am to 6:15am.

Seven of the deceased were identified as security guards Abdul Hannan and Jahangir Hossain, packaging operator Rafiqul Islam, Shift-in-Charge Shuvas Chandra, generator operator Anisur Rahman, floor operator Idris Ali and cleaner Shangkar Sarkar.

Still, The fire is not in control. more then Twenty units of firefighters were trying to bring the fire under control but they could not yet to manage to douse the blaze.
